HMS Unicorn Art Competition 2025 – Celebration

HMS Unicorn is delighted to announce our new Art Competition for 2025.

The competition is open all nursery, primary, secondary, and additional support pupils in Dundee, Angus,
Perth and Fife.

To help celebrate HMS Unicorn’s 200th Anniversary we are asking pupils to create artwork inspired by the Theme of Celebration. This can cover a wide range of celebrations including but not limited to Birthdays,
anniversaries, school awards/assemblies, weddings. As part of this celebration in addition to the prizes we will be offering the seven first prize winners the opportunity to have their art reproduced and proudly displayed
on the Victoria Docks next to the ship.

Works can be created in any medium and the more creative and imaginative the better.

We ask that artwork is not created with glitter as it is harmful to the fabric of the ship when it comes off the artwork. Glitter glue pens can be used.

We will be judging the artwork based on the amount of thought and detail that has gone into it, the art skills shown and how it relates to the theme of the competition

The 7 competition categories are:

  1. Nurseries
  2. Primary 1 to Primary 3
  3. Primary 4 to Primary 5
